Confession? I ADORE 80's power rock. I have an especial obsession for Journey. Yeah, yeah, I see those looks. You know you sing along to Journey when they come on! Best moment I've had in recent memory? At Incahoots with Cormac, before the George Strait song came on and threw me for a loop, Don't Stop Believin' comes on, and the whole place starts singing along!! Those are the moments that both affirm how tragically white I am, and also, how much I love my twisted little life! The pure awesome of Journey aside, read the lyrics to my new MySpace song, and TRY to tell me that little Steve Perry doesn't sing straight to some corner of your soul. Just a small town girl, livin' in a lonely world She took the midnight train goin anywhere Just a city boy, born and raised in south Detroit He took the midnight train goin anywhere A singer in a smokey room Strangers waiting, up and down the boulevard Working hard to get my fill, (chorus) Dont stop believin' Streetlight people Honestly.... if you can tell me you don't rock the hell out to that, go ahead and comment back that I'm a dumb ass. << || >> |
